The Pacific Islands Province was formed in 1981 when the former Pacific Province split into two halves. The southern half (Australia and New Zealand) took the name of Australia / New Zealand Province, while the northern half (Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands) was named Pacific Islands Province.
This province split further in 2008 into the Papua New Guinea Province and the Province of the Solomon Islands.
There is a temporary glitch with those creating user accounts from Google hosted email addresses (including franciscans.org.uk and franciscan.org.au). Google blocks the email to complete the registration process. Please email me and I can fix it internally.
