Reminiscences by Sr Frances Marie of Sr Magdalene (former Mother Rosina CSF - founder of CSF)

Sr Frances Marie of the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart, Peekskill, NY, remembers Sr Magdalene, who as Mother Rosina founded CSF in 1905. In 1910 Rosina became a Roman Catholic and went to America, where she joined the Peekskill sisters; she died there in 1946. Mary Claudia had also been an early member of CSF; she died at Peekskill in 1973. Sr Frances Marie had celebrated her 100th birthday two days before our visit, during the 2011 FOC/IPTOC, hence the musical ending to the recording! (6'55", 9.5 MB)
