European Province
David has been granted 6 months Leave of Absence and has moved out of the Leeds house and has rented a room locally. He will continue to be actively involved at S. Aidan's Church which Benedict attends.
On October 10th Amos will move to the Leeds house and Cristian Michael will move to Glasshampton.
Continue to pray for Michael Kenny, a postulant at Alnmouth; and for Jay and Vincent as they do the preparatory paperwork in order to come and test their vocations with us.
CSF Korea Region: Sister Juliana, a member of The Society of the Holy Cross in Seoul for over 25 years, is currently testing her vocation with CSF in Korea. Juliana came to stay with the sisters at Il-Seon-Ri in May, needing to recover her health after a very difficult time. Since July she has been trying to communicate with SHC about her wish to explore a possible transfer to CSF. However SHC has repeatedly ignored correspondence about the matter so it has not been possible to follow the usual procedure. Consequently on 23rd September a service was held in which Bishop Moses, Bishop of Daejeon consented to hold Juliana’s vows for one year while she undertakes the required period of discernment with CSF. Please keep Juliana, Frances and Jemma in your prayers.
Additional note on 29th September: We were glad to learn that Juliana has today been released from her membership of SHC, and has been able to visit and speak with some of the sisters.
Province of the Solomon Islands
Clark Berge writes: Here are some prayer requests from Solomon Islands:
Repose of the soul of mother of Clifton Henry and for him and his family in their grief.
Br. Commins Romano, who is still in hospital. Brothers have given blood for him, but no change in his condition.
John Kogudi and Ellison Hoasapepi who will make their Life profession of vows on Sunday October 2.
